LHS baseball falls in opener

? Lawrence High’s baseball team opened its season with a 10-6 loss Saturday night against Stillwater, Okla.

The Lions jumped to a 3-0 lead after the first inning, but couldn’t hold onto the lead.

Stillwater scored six runs in the next two innings and kept the lead for the rest of the game.

For LHS, Aaron Rea went 2-for-4 with three runs. Chase Muder went 2-for-4 with a double, and Joe Kornbrust scored two runs.

Tom Schuh took the loss for LHS.

Lawrence will continue its road trip at 2:30 p.m. today against Edmond, Okla., in Santa Fe, Okla.
