Law enforcement report

¢ The Kansas University Public Safety Office is investigating a possible rape that took place early Saturday morning in a room at Gertrude Sellards Pearson Hall. A 19-year-old woman said she was raped by a man known to her. The man is not a KU student, KU police said. No arrests have been made.

¢ A fire started by an electric blanket caused smoke damage, but minimal fire damage to a Eudora home Monday afternoon, Eudora Fire Chief Randy Ates said. Crews responded to the residence at 837 Pine about 4:30 p.m. The fire ignited large foam cushions and was extinguished by residents who used a garden hose and fire extinguisher, Ates said. There were no injuries.

Burglaries and thefts reported

¢ A 52-inch television set was taken Saturday morning from a residence in the 200 block of Sharon Drive. The theft was reported by a 21-year-old Lawrence woman. The television was valued at $2,200.

¢ A 59-year-old Lawrence man told Lawrence police that two of his personal checks have been forged and cashed during the past two weeks. Losses amounted to $1,200.
