Sisters Danielle Bird and Taylor Bird, starters on Lawrence’s state champion girls basketball team, have been named to the All-Sunflower League first team.

Tania Jackson, a 6-2 junior, earned a second-team berth.

The Lions’ other two starters, sophomores Haley Parker and Cassie Potter, earned honorable mention.

Free State’s Chantay Caron, a 6-0 sophomore, was chosen for the second team. Teammates Sarah Craft, Taylor Manning and Ashli Hill were accorded honorable mention.
