Burglaries and thefts reported

¢ An employee of Presto Convenience Store, 1030 N. Third St., reported $14,000 worth of cigarettes were stolen from the business since Nov. 1, 2007.

¢ A 22-year-old Lawrence woman reported an auto burglary and theft to Lawrence police Thursday. Items reported stolen include a brown leather Lockheart purse, and the front passenger window of a 2004 Jeep Cherokee was damaged. Estimated loss is $1,110. The incident occurred between 8 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. Thursday near 12th and Louisiana streets.

¢ A Walgreen employee reported hundreds of Phentermine tablets were stolen from the business at 3421 W. Sixth St., since July 15, 2007. Estimated loss is $1,314.

¢ Smoke detector activation, no fire, 5:57 a.m. Friday, 1515 Engel Road.
