Law enforcement report

¢ A 59-year-old Lawrence man reported being beaten and robbed shortly before midnight Monday in the 100 block of Pinecone Drive.

Police said the man was accosted by three youths, who struck him on the head with a two-by-four and stole his wallet, $67 in cash and a 1917 silver half-dollar.

Officers apprehended a 17-year-old Raytown, Mo., teen, and took him the Douglas County Juvenile Detention Center. An investigation is ongoing.

¢ A 29-year-old Lawrence man reported a vehicle valued at $2,500 had been stolen. About 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, police responded to the 2400 block of Redbud Lane where a 1999 purple Jeep Cherokee was reported missing.

¢ Police responded to the 1700 block of Massachusetts Street about 1:45 p.m. Tuesday, where a 53-year-old man reported $1,400 of U.S. postage stamps had been stolen.
