— A nurse accused of running a "pill mill" with her husband is entitled to an evidentiary hearing on prosecutors' claims that she is a flight risk, a federal magistrate judge ruled Monday.

Linda Schneider and her husband, Dr. Stephen Schneider, were arrested in December on a 34-count federal indictment that accuses them of directly causing four deaths and contributing to the deaths of 11 other patients.

The doctor was released in April pending his trial. But prosecutors are seeking Linda Schneider's continued detention, arguing that she talked to a jailhouse informant about obtaining false identification in case she were released.

Magistrate Judge Donald Bostwick set a hearing for 1:30 p.m. Thursday so that prosecutors can present their evidence. He gave the parties until today to file motions seeking any delays for that hearing.
