Law enforcement report

¢ A 41-year-old Lawrence man reported $1,150 of criminal damage to items at a residence in the 1700 block of East 15th Street on Saturday. Damage to vinyl siding was estimated at $700, a garage window valued at $200 was damaged, as was the windshield of a black pickup truck. The windshield was valued at $250.

¢ On Friday, a 23-year-old woman reported items valued at $1,700 stolen from the 1700 block of West 24th Street. A 42-inch Visio television, valued at $1,500, was stolen. Also missing was $200 in PlayStation video games. A PlayStation console reported missing was recovered Saturday.

¢ A 20-year-old man reported items valued at $1,250 were stolen from the 4100 block of West 24th Place on Friday. U.S. currency in the amount of $250 was reported missing, as was a $600 PlayStation 3 console and an air rifle valued at $400.

¢ A 44-year-old Basehor woman and a 44-year old Shawnee man each reported two cattle as missing. A report filed Sunday indicated a white calf belonging to the woman went missing on July 22. She later noticed a black Angus bull missing. Both cattle, valued at $6,500, were last seen in fields belonging to the man. No description or value was available for the man’s cattle.

¢ A home in the 2700 block of Ponderosa Drive sustained more than $11,000 in damage over the weekend. The homeowner reported damage to a refrigerator, valued at $850, as well as $10,600 of damages to carpeting, flooring, walls and ceilings, wiring and doors. Police say it appears to stem from a domestic problem, resulting in someone placing a garden hose through a window and flooding the home.

¢ Emergency responders from Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical, Lecompton, Kanwaka Township and Wakarusa Township responded to a barn fire in the 500 block of North 1800 Road. The fire was reported at 8:44 p.m. No injuries were reported. The fire was not declared under control by 11 p.m. Monday night.
