Injury accidents

Two people were transported to Lawrence Memorial Hospital on Saturday following a single-vehicle accident on the Kansas Turnpike. Timothy P. Rhinehart, 38, Bonner Springs, was driving a 2003 Ford van at milepost 207.2 shortly before 10 a.m. when the vehicle hydroplaned and struck a barrier wall, according to a Kansas Turnpike Authority report. Rhinehart and passenger Paige Rhinehart, 8, were transported to the hospital where they were later treated and released. Both were wearing seat belts.
