Former Kansas University basketball forward Wayne Simien will be holding his "Called to Greatness" camp for boys and girls fourth through 12th grade July 29-31 at Free State High. Cost is $100. Registration deadline is July 24.
Simien, a former KU All-American now with the Cleveland Cavaliers, described the camp as focusing "on offensive and defensive skill development and how to take care of your body through exercise and nutrition. Be prepared to work hard, learn a lot, and have fun."
Also ... "expect training to be rooted in Scriptural teaching. For example, each camper will learn what the Bible says about perseverance, attitude, aiming high and setting goals."
