Law enforcement report

Condition Reports

¢ Two people injured in a two-vehicle collision Friday morning on U.S. Highway 24-40 south of Tonganoxie remain in the hospital.

William Anderson, 52, Lawrence, is in fair condition at Kansas University Hospital in Kansas City, Kan. The driver of the second vehicle, Kelly Shilling, 31, of Tonganoxie, is at Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center in Topeka, but her condition is not being released.

¢ In another two-vehicle accident Saturday on Kansas Highway 16 on the western edge of Tonganoxie, a 38-year-old Tonganoxie woman was injured. She was treated and released from Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan. The driver of the other vehicle was not taken to a hospital.

Injury accidents

¢ A 20-year-old Ottawa man was flown by air ambulance to KU Medical Center on Tuesday following a two-vehicle accident at Interstate 35 and Kansas Highway 68 in Franklin County. Dustin Crawford was driving a 1997 Infiniti eastbound on K-68 and attempted to turn north onto I-35 when a 1992 Ford driven by Lisa Nanninga, 37, Ottawa, struck Crawford's vehicle on the passenger side, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol report. It was unknown whether Crawford wore a seat belt, the report said. KUMC would not release information about Crawford's condition Tuesday evening. Nanninga was taken to a hospital by a family member.

¢ A 44-year-old Pueblo West, Colo., woman was involved in a single-vehicle accident on the Kansas Turnpike about 12:30 p.m. Tuesday. Rhonda L. Dixon told the Kansas Turnpike Authority that she was driving a 1993 Honda near milepost 208 when another vehicle cut her off, according to a KTA report. Dixon reported that she swerved to avoid the vehicle, lost control and struck a barrier wall. Dixon was treated at the scene.

¢ A 34-year-old Tonganoxie woman was involved in a multi-vehicle accident on the Kansas Turnpike in Kansas City shortly before 1 p.m. Tuesday. Roxanne J. Bittner was driving a 2001 Honda Civic, according to a Kansas Turnpike Authority report. The accident was a chain reaction due to poor roads and reduced visibility, the report said. Bittner reported that she would seek her own treatment.

Burglaries and thefts reported

¢ Two bicycles valued at a total of $1,100 were taken from a residence in the 300 block of Indiana Street. A 54-year-old Lawrence woman told Lawrence police the thefts occurred between Jan. 1 and Monday.

Good intent calls are things like "My neighbor's newspapers are piling up, his mailbox is full, he's not answering the door and we are worried". Or some such.

In a lighter sense, anything that people think is suspicious is investigated by the police.

notice that of the 5 accidents reported 4 of them involved people from Tonganoxie. whats wrong with you people?
