A Lawrence man was among 27 people charged with drug trafficking as a result of a three-year federal investigation in Wichita.

Tony D. Tran, 23, is charged with multiple counts of conspiracy and possession with intent to distribute cocaine, methamphetamine, Ecstasy and marijuana. He also is charged with two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking and unlawful use of a telephone in the furtherance of drug trafficking.

“Detectives with Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office led the investigation with the assistance of the Drug Enforcement Administration and other agencies,” U.S. Attorney Eric Melgren said.
