LHS bowling second at Topeka

? Lawrence High’s Jessica Demaline rolled a 611 series, and Ben Wyatt had a 706 series in bowling competition Thursday.

Both the LHS boys and girls placed second, the boys with a 2,510 score and the girls with a 2,065 total.

Malory Hughes Pfeifer added a 472 series for the LHS girls, and Ryan Miller had a 664 series for the LHS boys.

“The girls had a difficult time at this match,” coach Brandi Perry said. “It is the first meet that they have lost of the season. They tried hard, just had a hard time adjusting to the lane conditions. The varsity boys shot well. It just wasn’t enough to beat a strong Seaman team. We are very proud of all the high series they shot today.”
