Injury Accidents

A McLouth woman was injured in a three-vechicle accident Sunday near Teepee Junction. Rita A. Hughes, 57, was taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital, where she was treated and released, following the accident, which occurred about 2:45 p.m.

Her vehicle was at a stoplight heading northbound on East 1450 Road, near North 1800 Road, when it was hit from behind by a 2008 Nissan truck driven by Mark T. Meyer, 48, Leawood. Hughes’ 1999 Ford truck then struck a 2006 Hyundai passenger car driven by Amanda Victoria Walters, 21, Topeka.

Neither Meyer nor Walters were injured.

Lawrence-Douglas County Fire Medical reported no calls Saturday.
