Kansas University Hospital announced Wednesday that it has been recognized as one of the nation’s best when it comes to being customer-friendly.
The American Alliance of Healthcare Providers has presented the hospital with a Hospital of Choice Award. KU is the only hospital in the Kansas City area and the state of Kansas to receive the award. The award recognizes hospitals that go beyond their walls in pursuit of excellence and high-quality care.
“Dedication to the health and well-being of our patients and their families is the top priority of everyone in our hospital,” Bob Page, president and chief executive officer of KU Hospital, said in a news release.
“It’s why we are here. No matter what the criteria, it is always gratifying when an objective group recognizes the work of our staff to show that commitment every day.”
