Lawrence police released information Thursday night about an armed robbery in southwest Lawrence that happened late Wednesday night in southwestern Lawrence.

Capt. Ray Urbanek said three masked men around 10:30 p.m. entered a residence in the 3400 block of Augusta Drive. Two people were home at the time.

The victims said one suspect was armed with a handgun. Another might have been armed with a gun with a longer barrel.

The suspects left the home with a safe and an undetermined amount of money in it. Police are still investigating the robbery.
