A federal judge handed down an 11-year prison sentence Monday afternoon to a man who used a computer and the Internet to entice a 14-year-old Lawrence girl to engage in sex.

Kenny Collins, 43, of Alliance, Ohio, admitted that he met the girl in a Yahoo chat room for single parents, prosecutors said.

The teenager reportedly sent him photos and videos of herself engaged in sexual activities. Collins urged her to purchase a Web cam and he sent her a box of sex toys along with specific requests about what he wanted to see her do.

The relationship continued until Jan. 9, 2007, when the Lawrence Police Department investigated a child welfare complaint involving the girl, who by then was 17.

Investigators found obscene images of Collins in the girl’s possession. They found photos and videos of the girl engaging in sexual activities on Collins’ computer.

SarahSmile - I agree. This will send a message to others that if you have cybersex with underage children you will get major jail time. DON'T DO IT! Child Porn is disgusting. Goodbye Kenny Collins!

It's certainly weird that this girl was in a single parents forum... but it's still not OK to have cybersex with minors, and its REALLY not OK to look at child porn.
