KU basketball defeats McGill, 72-67

Jayhawks win exhibition opener in Canada

The Kansas men’s basketball team recovered from a slow start to take a 72-67 victory over McGill University at Montpetit Hall in Ottawa, Canada.

Tyshawn Taylor led the Jayhawks with 18 points. Travis Releford had 11, while Tyrel Reed and Cole Aldrich had 10 points each.

Aldrich also added 18 rebounds, with 10 of those coming in the first half.

The Jayhawks fell behind 17-4 in the first half before an 8-0 run helped put them back in the game.

A Conner Teahan three gave KU its first lead at 23-21.
