Burglaries and thefts
¢ Lawrence police are investigating a burglary and theft that occurred between 1 a.m. and 11 a.m. Thursday in an apartment in the 500 block of Eldridge Street. Taken were a laptop computer, computer case, and 30 DVDs. There also was damage to a door frame. Total losses and damages were listed at $1,910. The incident was reported by a 26-year-old woman.
¢ A 54-year-old man reported to Lawrence police on Wednesday that someone broke into his residence in the 1500 block of Barker Avenue. Several items were taken, including guns, videogames and a videogame system, an iPod and iPhone and 12 silver dollars. Losses were listed at $5,767.
¢ A laptop computer valued at $1,100 was taken in a burglary Wednesday night or Thursday morning at a residence in the 1100 block of Avalon Road, according to a Lawrence police report. The theft was reported by a man and a woman, both 40.
