Jayhawk football team reporting to campus

More than 95 Kansas University football players are expected to arrive on campus today for the beginning of training camp.

The players will go through meetings, complete physicals and check out equipment. The Jayhawks will hold their first practice of the 2008 season on Saturday and will hold one workout per day until Thursday, when they will have the first of five two-a-day practices scheduled throughout the month.

There will be two practices open to the public during training camp. Fans can watch the Jayhawks work out on Friday, Aug. 8 and Friday, Aug. 15. Both practices are scheduled for 9 a.m.

Kansas will open the season at home against Florida International at 6 p.m. on Aug. 30. Tickets are still available at www.kuathletics.com.
