Former Kansas University defensive tackle James McClinton will attend the Kansas City Chiefs' rookie minicamp this weekend on a tryout basis, according to his agent Kevin Robinson.
McClinton is hoping to show off his skills and possibly land a free-agent deal soon after.
"He's pretty excited," Robinson said. "He's looking forward to it."
The Jayhawks had four players selected in the NFL Draft this weekend. A fifth, fullback Brandon McAnderson, agreed to a free-agent deal with the St. Louis Rams on Sunday.

Excellent news. Mr. McClinton will be a great addition to any NFL defensive line.

I'm not going to bother looking it up, but I daresay every single NFL franchise has undrafted free agents on their roster every year. The Chiefs had 7-8 UFAs last year. It can be done. Good luck.
