Shooting victim released from hospital

A Tuesday night shooting that left a man wounded occurred during a robbery at an apartment in the 2500 block of Redbud Lane, Lawrence police said Wednesday.
The victim, a 20-year-old man, told police that a man knocked on his door about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and demanded money. After the victim turned over an undetermined amount of cash, the suspect shot him, police said.
The victim was taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital by ambulance. A hospital spokeswoman said Wednesday that the man was no longer a patient there. No other information was available. Police are continuing to investigate. No arrests have been made.
