The Kansas University Department of Music and Dance will present a recital by Joyce Castle, mezzo soprano and Kansas University professor of voice, at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in Crafton-Preyer Theatre.

Castle will be accompanied on piano by Mark Ferrell, music director of the KU Opera. The recital is titled “A Short History of a Long Career on the Stage – Part 2!”

Castle has sung with the New York City Opera, the Metropolitan Opera, Chicago Lyric Opera and other companies in the United States and abroad.
