Two Lawrence High School students were taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital today after they were involved in a wreck during the lunch period near 23rd and Louisiana streets.

The injuries to a junior and a senior were believed to be minor, said Julie Boyle, a Lawrence school district spokeswoman.

A total of five students were involved in the accident, and only two were taken to LMH by ambulance. High school administrators notified parents of all five students, Boyle said.

Both LHS and Free State High have open lunch periods.
