Law enforcement report

¢ Lawrence police are investigating a report that an unidentified black male spoke inappropriately to two 10-year-old Lawrence males before exposing a part of his body, according to police. The incident occurred April 10 as the young males were playing in a lot near a southwest Lawrence residence of one of the victims. Officers did not locate the suspect, described as 18 to 22 years old, 5-foot-10-inches or shorter with short hair and a deep voice last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt and long black shorts with a green and yellow stripe on the sides.

¢ Lawrence police investigated a report from a 9-year-old Lawrence girl that an unidentified man attempted to lure her into his vehicle. The girl reported she was playing near her North Lawrence residence about 7:45 p.m. Sunday when a white male with shoulder-length light brown hair driving a silver SUV called to her and asked her if she wanted a ride. Police searched the area but did not locate the vehicle. The man is reportedly in his 20s or 30s, last seen wearing a purple ball cap.

Burglaries, thefts reported

¢ Lawrence police arrested a 22-year-old Lawrence man on a charge of aggravated burglary. The arrested followed the report of an 18-year-old Lawrence man that a male suspect broke into the 18-year-old’s apartment when he was in his living room about 1:55 p.m. Monday. The victim reported he spoke to the suspect who turned and fled without taking anything. Damage to the door was estimated at $300, according to police. The suspect was located inside a vehicle in the apartment parking lot.

Injury accident

¢A 55-year-old Baldwin City man was taken to Olathe Medical Center following a three-vehicle accident Wednesday. Kansas Highway Patrol responded to the accident at 8:05 p.m. near mile marker 149 on U.S. Highway 59. Michael Labuda’s condition was unavailable Wednesday night.
