Music professor performs recital at KU

Stephanie Zelnick, Kansas University assistant professor of clarinet, will perform a faculty recital at 7:30 p.m. Monday at Swarthout Recital Hall and is part of the overall celebration for Murphy Hall’s 50th anniversary.

Zelnick has performed as a soloist and orchestral clarinetist throughout the U.S., South America and Europe. She is currently serving as principal clarinet in the Boulder Philharmonic Orchestra, Central City Opera and the Colorado Ballet, and performs regularly with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra. In the United States, she has held positions as principal clarinetist in the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra and Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra as well as appearing with the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra, Kansas City Symphony, Seattle Pops and the Aspen Chamber Orchestra, among others.
