Injury accidents

¢ A 25-year-old Topeka man was taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital Sunday after losing control of his 1998 Kawasaki motorcycle on U.S. Hwy. 40. Joseph R. Jennings was driving the motorcycle eastbound about 4.5 miles west of Lawrence when he crossed the westbound land and entered the north ditch, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol Report. The motorcycle fell over and slid to a stop, the report said. Jennings, who was wearing a helmet during the accident, was treated and released from the hospital.
