Kansas University junior basketball guard Brandon Rush has a Missouri court date related to a family court and child support case when the season ends.
According to Jackson County, Mo., court records, Rush has a hearing scheduled for May 13 in Kansas City, Mo. The case was filed March 11 along with a motion for civil contempt. According to the Missouri Bar Association, a judge can enforce a child support order through a civil contempt order.
A court spokeswoman said Friday the file was in a judge’s possession and specific information was unavailable. Much of the information in the online court records was not listed as public information.
Rush also has a Lawrence Municipal Court appearance scheduled for Friday after he was arrested in December on two warrants for failure to appear in court here. Rush had been cited last October for speeding and in December 2006 for driving on the left side of the road and not having proof of insurance.
