Burglaries and thefts reported
¢ Lawrence police are investigating several tire-slashing incidents that were reported Sunday in the 1100 block of Indiana Street. There were five incidents involving vehicles with two tires slashed, one vehicle with one tire slashed and one vehicle with all four tires slashed, according to police reports made public Tuesday. Damage varied from $100 to nearly $500 in each of the incidents.
¢ Several items valued at more than $1,600 were taken between 4 p.m. and 9:45 p.m. Sunday from a residence in the 200 block of North Michigan, according to a Lawrence police report. Included were a laptop computer, iPod, CDs, a CD case and earphones. The thefts were reported by two Lawrence men. No other information was available.
