A fire late Monday night destroyed a house southeast of Lawrence.

No one was injured in the blaze at 1081 E. 1800 Road, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office. The fire was reported at 11 p.m. The Wakarusa Township Fire Department responded as did other area fire departments.

The house was abandoned, the sheriff’s office said.

No other information was available this morning.
