Topeka ? Dylan Hedges’ first-place finish helped Lawrence High claim the team title Saturday in the Shawnee Heights invitational cross country meet.

Hedges won in a time of 16:28.3, and teammates Roy Wedge (16:58.9) and Ben Wilson (17:20.6) placed fourth and sixth, respectively.

The Lions totaled 56 points to second-place Washburn Rural’s 64.

On the girls side, Kelly Renfro placed fifth for Lawrence High, which finished fourth in the team standings. Renfro had a time of 15:51.0. The Lions’ Jennifer Taylor (16:32.7) took 10th, and Kristina Taylor (16:57.8) placed 22nd.
