Law enforcement report

¢ Lawrence police assisted the Garnett City Police Department to recover a stolen van about 1 a.m. Tuesday. A Lawrence police officer on patrol located a 2002 Dodge Minivan in the 100 block of East 10th Street. The Garnett police reported that a 23-year-old man and a 24-year-old man, both from Kansas City, Kan., were in custody regarding the theft of a Chevrolet Cirrus from the 900 block of New Hampshire Street.

The two men are also suspected in other incidents, including a theft and aggravated assault in the 1800 block of West 23rd Street at 9:55 p.m. Monday, an auto burglary/attempted auto theft in the1600 block of Indiana Street at 4:51 a.m. Tuesday and another auto theft in Kansas City. The investigation is ongoing.

¢ A 43-year-old Lawrence woman reported to Lawrence police that $2,427 was charged unlawfully on her financial card. The card went missing between Sept. 2 and Sept. 5 in the 1400 block of Kasold Drive.
