Emporia ? Kelly Renfro placed fourth in the girls race, and Dylan Hedges was fifth in the boys race to pace Lawrence High’s cross country team to a pair of fourth-place finishes at the Emporia Invitational on Saturday.

LHS placed fourth with 104 points on the girls side, behind champion Manhattan (36), Maize (93) and Overland Park Aquinas (101). Jennifer Taylor placed 10th for LHS.

On the boys side, Roy Wedge came in a place behind Hedges to help the Lions to 124 points.

Emporia won with 46 and was followed by Aquinas (62) and Manhattan (91).
