Summer enrollment at KU slightly down

Summer enrollment at Kansas University was down slightly this year, according to numbers released Wednesday by the registrar’s office.

Overall, 7,603 students were enrolled in classes taught at the Lawrence campus, down 150 from the year before.

Adding in classes taught off-campus, including at the Edwards Campus, which were down 67 students, non-KU Medical Center enrollment declined by 217 students to 8,743.

KUMC enrolled 1,761 students, a slight increase from the year before.

Overall, enrollment was down 171 students from 2006, but down 529 from a high in 2004.
