STILWELL ? Lawrence High’s volleyball team fell to Blue Valley on Thursday in its final tuneup for sub-state.

Blue Valley defeated the Lions, 25-22, 25-12, 25-18.

Lindsey Murray had seven kills and six digs for LHS, Tayler Tolefree had six kills, Rachel Van Horn had 14 assists, Emily Bracciano had 10 digs, and Kate Melton had five digs.

“We know the things we need to work on for sub-state, and we worked on some of those things,” LHS coach Stephanie Magnuson said, “and we’ll continue for work on them tomorrow at practice.”

The Lions (13-22) will face Free State at 2 p.m. Saturday in a Class 6A sub-state match at Olathe South.
