Three arrested in window shootings

Three men were arrested Tuesday night by Lawrence police in connection with a series of window-shooting incidents.

The occupants of several residences on West 31st Street and in the 2600 block of Haskell Avenue called police reporting shots fired into their windows.

But police found evidence that a “spring gun” was used and that the ammunition was marbles.

The suspects, all from Lawrence, were booked into jail on suspicion of criminal damage to property and aggravated assault.

No details were immediately available Wednesday about formal charges.
