Law enforcement report

Lawrence Police responded to several reports of shots fired into house windows around 10 p.m. Tuesday. Shortly before 10 p.m., a person reported that windows had been shot at a residence in the 2600 block of Haskell Avenue, Lawrence Police Sgt. Damon Thomas said. A few minutes later, shortly after 10 p.m., a person reported a shooting at windows of a residence in the 1900 block of West 31st Street. A nearby residence also was shot at. Police recovered marbles from the area, indicating a slingshot and marbles were used in the incidents on West 31st Street, Thomas said. Within the hour, Douglas County Sheriff’s officers pulled over a vehicle in connection with the incidents. No further information was available late Tuesday.

Burglaries and thefts reported

¢ A laptop computer valued at $1,400 was taken from a residence in the 1000 block of Emery Road the night of Oct. 4 or morning of Oct. 5, according to a Lawrence Police report. The theft was reported by a 19-year-old Kansas University student.

¢ A 32-inch TV valued at $1,000 was taken Saturday or Sunday from a residence in the 800 block of Arkansas Street. A 23-year-old man reported the burglary and theft to Lawrence Police.

¢ A 54-year-old Lawrence man told police that someone has his credit card and has charged more than $1,200 to it. The card was used three times on Oct. 10.
