A four-plane flyover will precede Kansas University's Saturday football game with Baylor, officials said.

The flyover is planned just before the 11:30 a.m. kickoff. The planes will fly over the stadium after the national anthem is played; KU said the Federal Aviation Administration has approved the event.

The planes will be RV-6As, single-propeller two-seaters.

The university will also provide discounted game tickets to personnel from area military bases, the university said.

If you have been to any games yet this season, you would know that there have not been any flyovers yet. Any planes that can be spared to fly over we should be grateful for. Last year there was a flyover with medical helicopters! And everyone who was in the helicopter was a KU grad! Patriotism and KU ties made it even more special!
