Burglaries and thefts reported

¢ A Pepsi-Cola machine near Garber Automotive, 2216 W. Sixth St., was reported damaged Wednesday. Damages are valued at $1,500. A 29-year-old Lawrence man reported the incident, which occurred between 3 a.m. and 5 p.m. Wednesday.

What's the value of an entire soda machine? Wouldn't $1500 be about the total amount? Maybe I'm just ignorant to these kind of things. I guess it's good to live in a city where the worst crime is a totaled soda machine. It makes me wonder how many things they failed to print though, which is worrying.
