Scoring Summary: KU-Mizzou

FOURTH QUARTER

:12, MU: Todd Reesing sacked for Safety – 36-28, MU

-Lorenzo Williams pulled Todd Reesing down to end this one officially with :12 to go.

2:03, KU: Marcus Henry 5 pass from Todd Reesing – 34-28, MU

-Todd Reesing continued to battle back in the second half, with his second touchdown pass of the quarter. This time he hit Marcus Henry for just the second time all night.

3:31, MU: Jeff Wolfert 43 field goal – 34-21, KU

-Wolfert’s second field goal came on a drive in which Chase Daniel moved his completion total on the night to 40.

8:22, KU: Dexton Fields 10 pass from Todd Reesing – 31-21, MU

-Dexton Fields’ seventh catch of the game was a jump ball of sorts in the front corner of the end zone to end a hurried drive. Also on the drive, Dezmon Briscoe had two key catches, and Kerry Meier picked up 20 yards on a spectacular grab down the left sideline.

9:55, MU: Jeff Wolfert 43 field goal – 31-14, MU

-The Tigers put themselves up by three scores with Wolfert’s first field goal of the game, keeping him perfect on three-point tries in Big 12 play. The key was a two-pass conversion of a first-and-20 to move into KU territory.

13:02, KU: Todd Reesing 5 run (Scott Webb kick) – 28-14, MU

-Todd Reesing’s naked bootleg run ended with him getting nailed at the goal line, but not before he extended the ball across the plane to keep KU’s fans involved in this one somewhat. The score only has value, though, if the defense can force a stop.

THIRD QUARTER

1:19, MU: Derrick Washington 3 pass from Chase Daniel (Jeff Wolfert kick) – 28-7, MU

-Daniel continued to do whatever he wanted against KU’s defense, and following his third touchdown pass of the game, he was 31-of-36 for 252 yards and no picks.

7:21, KU: Brandon McAnderson 1 run (Scott Webb kick) – 21-7, KU

-Dezmon Briscoe’s diving 34-yard catch set the Jayhawks up with a first-and-goal from the Mizzou five-yard line. Three tough runs later saw KU pull to within two touchdowns midway through the third quarter.

10:36, MU: Jimmy Jackson 1 run (Jeff Wolfert kick) – 21-0, MU

-Todd Reesing’s second interception resulted in Missouri’s third touchdown of the game, ultimately, as the Jayhawks let Chase Daniel again dink-and-dunk down the field, thanks to a couple of nice runs by Tony Temple. Jimmy Jackson capped the drive easily by plunging up the middle for the score.

SECOND QUARTER

9:21, MU: Danario Alexander 11 pass from Chase Daniel (Jeff Wolfert kick) – 14-0, MU

-A James Holt defensive holding call following a jarring Darrell Stuckey hit on William Franklin on third down gave Missouri a second wind to cap off a 98-yard drive. The final play was a lengthy Chase Daniel scramble, in which he ultimately found Alexander in front of the goal line.

FIRST QUARTER

:29, MU: Martin Rucker 1 pass from Chase Daniel (Jeff Wolfert kick) – 7-0, MU

-On a fourth-and-goal at the one, Chase Daniel sent four men wide, and he hit Martin Rucker at the goal line for the game’s first score and Rucker’s first reception of the game. The key play on the drive was a 23-yard run by Tony Temple, easing the ball into KU territory for the second time in the game.
