Scoring Summary: KU-ISU

FOURTH QUARTER

2:39: KU – Angus Quigley 14 run. Webb Kick.

-It took only four plays and a roughing the passer penalty to put KU on the scoreboard again in the game’s waning minutes.

6:58: KU – Derek Fine 4 pass from Kerry Meier. Webb kick.

-It took the offense two drives to get warmed up with Meier at the helm, but he found his groove and hit Fine a few times to set up the score.

THIRD QUARTER

7:53: KU – Scott Webb 37 field goal.

-A Henry catch combined with a late-hit penalty put KU in excellent field position, but the KU offense finally stalled. Scott Webb, however got his first field goal of the day.

SECOND QUARTER

1:56: KU – Kerry Meier 18 pass from Reesing. Tucker kick.

-Jake Sharp carried the ball most of the drive, setting up strong field position for the Jayhawks. Meier caught two passes, the second one gave Reesing his fourth TD pass of the day.

3:54: ISU – Alexander Robinson 6 run. Mike Brandtner kick.

-ISU benefited from three separate penalties on KU’s defense and got on the scoreboard in the final minutes of the first half.

8:42: KU – Marcus Henry 51 pass from Reesing. Tucker kick.

-Reesing continues to pick apart the Cyclones secondary. But his receivers are doing their share by making long runs after short completions.

FIRST QUARTER

1:57: KU – Fields 16 pass from Reesing. Tucker kick.

-The Jayhawks again marched down field against ISU and Reesing found Fields wide open at the five yard line. Fields easily walked into the end zone.

5:27: KU – Dexton Fields 17 pas from Todd Reesing. Kyle Tucker kick.

-KU sustained a 10-play drive and took the early lead with Fields running untouched for a score after Reesing hit him near the left sideline.
