Two Kansas University professors on Friday night were recognized for their work by the Chancellors Club at the group's annual gala.
Lawrence campus professor Mohamed El-Hodiri was given the Career Teaching Award while Randolph Nudo, director of the medical center's Landon Center on Aging, will receive the Research Award. Both awards come with $5,000.
An economics professor, El-Hodiri has taught a number of different classes over his 40 years at KU.
Nudo's work has focused on how brain injuries affect the use of limbs, and how neural repair can affect rehabilitation.
