Burglaries and thefts reported

¢ A 30-year-old Lawrence man reported the theft of $1,400 to Lawrence police. The man said a woman took the money from his clothing while he was sleeping Thursday. A 22-year-old woman has been interviewed by officers, but no arrest has been made.

¢ Lawrence police are investigating the theft of a 1987 GMC Sierra valued at $4,500 belonging to a 25-year-old Lawrence man. Items in the truck included a case of CDs valued at $350 and tools worth $150. The truck was taken May 23 from the 600 block of Minnesota Street.

¢ The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the loss of $1,725 because of the theft of checks and a debit card from an 88-year-old rural Douglas County woman. She reported the theft May 18.

¢ A 21-year-old Lawrence woman reported the theft of two laptop computers, cash and several pieces of jewelry about 10 p.m. Friday in the 2600 block of West Sixth Street. The value of the items was about $6,101.

¢ A 19-year-old Lawrence man reported the theft of several speakers and amplifier equipment. The items were taken after 7 p.m. Friday from an apartment in the 1400 block of Kentucky Street.

¢ A 23-year-old Lawrence woman reported the theft of two laptop computers and damage to a window screen between 5 p.m. and 11:45 p.m. Friday from a residence in the 2600 block of West 30th Street.

¢ A 62-year-old Lawrence man reported the theft of a 2006 Suzuki between 7 p.m. Saturday to 6 a.m. Sunday from a residence in the 1500 block of Wedgewood Drive.

¢ Motor vehicle accident, 12:04 a.m. Tuesday, 2100 block of Barker Avenue.

¢ Arcing, shorted electrical wiring, 4:02 a.m. Tuesday, 175 N. Eighth St.

Injury accidents

¢ Four people suffered minor injuries following a two-vehicle accident at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the 1600 block of West Second Street. One person was taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital for treatment of neck injuries.

The other three people were not taken to the hospital. Their identities and conditions were not available Tuesday.
