LHS girls soccer team blanked by SM South

? The Lawrence High girls soccer team again came up short in its quest for its first Sunflower League victory of the season, falling 4-0 to Shawnee Mission South.

“Despite the four goals, Emma Lumpe played very well in goal for us, and Heather Miller at sweeper was outstanding,” LHS coach Matt Anderson said.

He also cited the play of Olivia Dykes, Kaylee Tesdahl, and Kaela Severa on the Lions’ front line.

LHS (3-8-2 overall, 0-8-2 Sunflower League) will close out its season with a rescheduled Senior Night game at 7 p.m. Thursday against Shawnee Mission Northwest at the Youth Sports Inc. complex.
