Injury accidents

¢ A 17-year-old Lawrence girl was transported to Lawrence Memorial Hospital after her 1997 Honda Civic, traveling south on Iowa Street about 6:55 p.m. Thursday, veered into oncoming traffic in the northbound lane, colliding with a 2002 Lexus. Jamie L. Bennett, whose condition was unavailable Friday, was cited by an officer at the scene for inattentive driving.

¢ A 27-year-old Topeka woman was taken to St. Francis Health Center in Topeka after a two-car injury accident in Jefferson County. The wreck occurred about 5:30 p.m. Friday on Kansas Highway 4 just north of Meriden when a 2003 Chevrolet slowed to avoid debris on the roadway; a 1993 Ford rear-ended the Chevrolet. Katie Fager, who was listed as wearing a seat belt in the Kansas Highway Patrol report, was taken to the hospital with injuries. Her condition was not available Friday. There were no other injuries from the collision.
