Former Kansas University fowrard Julian Wright has chosen an agent, and made his intentions known Friday to the KU coaching staff that he will be signing in the near future with Rob Pelinka.

When Wright signs with Pelinka, it will negate any chance for him to return to KU and play as a junior.

Pelinka’s client list is highlighted by Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant. That list also includes Corey Maggette, Channing Frye and one-time Kansas signee DeShawn Stevenson. In this year’s draft, he has already signed Arizona sophomore swingman Marcus Williams.

Pelinka carries a legitimate college basketball background. He played at Michigan, where he was a freshman on the 1989 National Championship Wolverines squad, and was also a key bench contributor for the Michigan National Runners-up in both 1992 and 1993.
