Injury accidents

¢ A 39-year-old Lawrence woman was taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital on Monday after suffering injuries following a three-car accident.

Rosemary Munger was stopped in the 4300 block of West Sixth Street when a stopped Nissan Xterra rear-ended her car after it was hit by a 1996 Dodge Ram.

Munger was treated at the hospital and released.

The driver of the Dodge Ram, a 30-year-old Kansas City, Mo., man, was cited for inattentive driving and no proof of insurance.

¢ A 67-year-old man was taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital on Friday after he was struck by a car as he crossed the street.

Richard Davenport was crossing Vermont Street in the 900 block from the east sidewalk when a car exiting a city parking lot struck him.

Davenport was treated at the hospital and released. He was cited for jaywalking.

Fire calls

¢ Fire crews responded to a garage or barn fire about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at 2138 N. 1000 Road near Eudora.

Eudora Township fire crews, with help from the Eudora Fire Department and the Wakarusa Township Fire Department, had the fire under control by about 9:45 p.m. No injuries were reported and fire crews were still investigating the cause Tuesday night.
