Two people were transported to Lawrence Memorial Hospital Monday evening after a two-car collision on Kansas Highway 32 at its junction with U.S. Highway 24-40 northeast of Lawrence, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.

William Allen, 57, of Linwood, was driving a 1990 Buick and had slowed on K-32 as he attempted to turn left onto U.S. 24-40.

As he turned his car collided with a 1999 Ford Escort driven by Tracy Green, 20, Mayetta.

Both drivers, who were wearing seatbelts, were treated at the hospital and released.
