Law enforcement report

¢ Lawrence police continue to investigate a report that a man tried to persuade a 13-year-old Lawrence boy to get inside a vehicle with him. The boy told police the incident occurred about 3:30 p.m. Feb. 20 when he was walking his dog south on Crestline Drive just north of Harvard Road. A white man driving a gold, four-door vehicle motioned for him to come to the car. The boy ran to a school and called his parents. Police searched the area but didn’t find the suspect’s vehicle.

¢ At 6:26 p.m. Feb. 18 Lawrence police were called to Jade Mongolian Barbecue, 1511 W. 23rd St., to investigate a man who allegedly slapped a 2-year-old girl, knocking her to the floor. Police interviewed a 22-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man. A report was sent to the Douglas County district attorney and the Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services.

Burglaries and thefts reported

¢ A 28-year-old Lawrence man told Lawrence police that someone took his wallet Thursday while he was seated at a business. Losses were listed at $414. Police interviewed several people about the incident but no arrests were made.

¢ A 53-year-old Lawrence man reported the theft of tools and other property valued at $3,419 and $400 in criminal damage to property to two trucks owned by a business. The trucks were parked in the 800 block of North Second Street. The incident occurred sometime between 5:30 p.m. Feb. 24 and 7 a.m. Monday.

¢ A 48-year-old Lawrence woman reported to police that her dog was stolen Thursday from the backyard of her residence. She left the dog in the backyard while she was at work and came home to find it was gone. The Husky, named “Skully” was valued at $50.

¢ Bohm Farm and Ranch, of Salina, reported to Lawrence police on Feb. 23 that there was damage to a vehicle and the theft of $1,500 in tools and equipment. The incident occurred in the 900 block of North Third Street. Lawrence police are investigating.
