Law enforcement report

¢ A 22-year-old Lawrence man reported an aggravated assault on Monday when he noticed a vehicle driving erratically on eastbound 27th Street. The man honked at the car, but the 16-year-old driver of the vehicle ahead of him made a hand gesture and drove off, according to reports. When the 22-year-old man tried to follow, a 16-year-old male in the passenger seat of the other car leaned out the window, reportedly waved a knife and made threatening remarks.

He was arrested by Lawrence police on suspicion of aggravated assault.

Injury accidents

¢ A Lawrence woman was taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital after a four-car accident at 2:35 p.m. Tuesday.

Lynn Basow was treated and released after her 2005 Ford Mustang was rear-ended as she was westbound on Clinton Parkway near Kasold Drive.

Her car was sent into the rear end of a car ahead of her, and that car struck another.

No other injuries were reported.

¢ Motor vehicle accident, 11:12 p.m. Wednesday, 800 block of West 23rd Street.

¢ Smoke at structure, 9:40 p.m. Thursday in the 300 block of California Street.

¢ Smoke caused by a washing machine, 9:45 p.m. Thursday, Curtis Hall, Haskell Indian Nations University.
