Robert Horton, a 2003 graduate from Kansas University’s music and dance department, was recently named as the only American quarterfinalist in the Alkmaar International Organ Playing Competition, the Netherlands.

Horton joins other musicians from the Netherlands, France, Ireland, Finland, Portugal, Italy, Lithuania, Hungary and Germany.

The first round of finals take place Friday and Saturday, the second round Tuesday, and the finals will be June 29. For more information, call 864-3436.
